About the role
- Develops, manages, grows, and nurtures relationships between USAA and external strategic suppliers
- Onboards and provides operational support for strategic partner relationships
- Identifies opportunities for growth and builds strong relationships with key strategic partners including internal affiliates
- Effectively initiates and manages supplier relationships with strategic supplier partners and internal business team members
- Monitors strategic account partners satisfaction and applies data-driven insights to influence strategies to drive the achievement of business goals
- Responsible for timely and appropriate resolution of escalations from strategic supplier partners
- Partners with team to work with research, analytics, finance, and staff area leaders to identify, influence and lead cross departmental improvement efforts
- Validates and codes moderate size and complexity invoices, requiring research to ensure accuracy and budget adherence
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
- 6 years of experience in supplier relationship management, to include supplier governance, procurement and/or supply chain management experience
- Advanced knowledge and experience with applicable industry and products for the assigned functional area
- Advanced data analysis skills
- Accountability for complex tasks and/or projects required
- Demonstrated experience prioritizing and managing complex tasks and/or projects
- Strong relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to influence decisions at senior leadership levels
- Strong issue resolution and follow-up skills
- Strong executive-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively navigate and mediate conflict and foster honest dialog
- Advanced level of business acumen in the areas of the business operations, industry practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends required
