About the role
- Own and nurture customer relationships in a team-based selling model
- Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies
- Increase case growth and acquire new business through effective sales presentations
- Collaborate with Specialists and internal departments to ensure seamless product delivery
- Identify prospective customers utilizing market intelligence and business directories
- Troubleshoot delivery issues and manage problems during the order process
- Share market conditions and competitor information with customers
Requirements
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with good standing motor vehicle record
- Foodservice industry experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build relationships and cold call for new business
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving ability, organization and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs
