About the role

  • Own and nurture customer relationships in a team-based selling model
  • Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies
  • Increase case growth and acquire new business through effective sales presentations
  • Collaborate with Specialists and internal departments to ensure seamless product delivery
  • Identify prospective customers utilizing market intelligence and business directories
  • Troubleshoot delivery issues and manage problems during the order process
  • Share market conditions and competitor information with customers

Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with good standing motor vehicle record
  • Foodservice industry experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and cold call for new business
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving ability, organization and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs
