About the role
- Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team based selling model
- Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies
- Measure success by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business
- Deliver impactful sales presentations tailored to individual customers
- Work collaboratively with Specialists to assist with penetration opportunities and new accounts
- Ensure seamless product delivery working closely with marketing, supply chain and customer service
- Develop new business by identifying prospective customers utilizing market intelligence databases and business directories
- Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by transportation department
Requirements
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing
- Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals
- Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills
- Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus
- Have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs
