About the role
- Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team based selling model.
- Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies to help customers succeed.
- Your success will be measured by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business.
- Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailor your sales approach to individual customers.
- Work collaboratively with our Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening.
- Work closely with marketing, supply chain and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery.
- Develop new business by identifying prospective customers through various methods including market intelligence databases, following leads, and attending events.
- Manage deliveries to the routing schedule and troubleshoot any issues that occur during the order process.
- Know the market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products; share information with customers.
Requirements
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
- Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
- Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills.
- Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
- Have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
