About the role
- Facilitate site HR functions, including data management, performance management, talent development, benefits administration, leave requests, and employee engagement.
- Ensure compliance with mandatory network training, continuing education, including safety training and anti-harassment training.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, including processing invoices, payroll validation and audit.
- Conduct new hire orientation and actively participate in the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
- Coach and support managers, supervisors, and associates, providing guidance on disciplinary matters, investigations, and terminations while adhering and upholding all URBN policies and procedures.
- Manage employee relations investigations, workplace accommodation requests and unemployment claims responses.
- Develop and implement employee engagement activities to promote company culture and drive employee morale.
- Plan & execute round tables and leadership connect sessions to gather insight from leaders and non-exempt employees regularly.
- Contribute to the development of communication and information flow within the organization; partner with site leaders and network HR leaders to communicate upcoming HR related changes/updates.
- Participate in assigned network-wide Supply Chain HR projects.
- Collaborate with talent acquisition and site leaders to support recruitment efforts, understanding skill requirements, and facilitating the onboarding process.
- Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies related to HR functions.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, uphold policies and processes to ensure site alignment with network best practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- 1 -3 years of direct human resource generalist experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- High ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management system.
