About the role

  • Lead and execute month-end close activities for all North America Supply Chain cost centers, including Transportation, Logistics/Labor, Customer Contact Center, Fraud, Supplies, and M&R.
  • Own accounting procedures inclusive of journal entries, accruals, reclasses, amortizations, and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
  • Ensure accurate expense recognition and proper cost classification across Supply Chain spend categories, including review of coding, timing, and supporting documentation.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable/3P payment providers, Shared Services, and operational teams to resolve invoice discrepancies, accrual gaps, and reporting issues to support timely payment and accurate financial close.
  • Monitor and report on North America Supply Chain capital expenditure activity, including project tracking, cash flow monitoring, and alignment to budget/forecast.
  • Partner with operational stakeholders to ensure proper capitalization practices and accurate timing of project spend.
  • Deliver actionable month-end reporting packages and explain monthly performance through variance analysis vs Budget, Forecast, and Prior Year, including root cause drivers that tie into operational events.
  • Maintain and strengthen Supply Chain Finance controls, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit-ready support for key processes and balances.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline close activities, improve reporting speed/quality, and increase operational visibility.
  • Develop, document, and maintain SOPs, training materials, and process workflows to ensure consistency and scalability across the team.
  • Monitor and audit supply chain and financial system data to ensure reporting integrity and alignment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance (Supply Chain, Operations Finance, or Distribution preferred)
  • Strong understanding of month-end close processes including accrual accounting, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, advanced formulas, modeling);
  • experience with financial systems/ERPs and reporting tools preferred (e.g., Oracle EBS/Hyperion, etc.)
