• Discuss plans with marketing personnel to promote sales of programs and periods to advertisers and their agencies
• Plan long and short-term programming and promotional strategies
• Recommend departmental budgetary needs
• Conduct strategic research to gain high Arbitron ratings
• Schedule music when needed and perform on-air as needed
• Ensure all reporting staff has the necessary skills
• Maintain high performance and effectively deal with identified non-performance in a timely manner
• Recruit and train new staff when and where required
• Ensure discretion is exercised for compliance with FCC regulations
• Collaborate with the General Manager
• Share insights with the Engineering Department
• Perform special projects under the direction of the General Manager
