About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Discuss plans with marketing personnel to promote sales of programs and periods to advertisers and their agencies
Plan long and short-term programming and promotional strategies
Recommend departmental budgetary needs
Conduct strategic research to gain high Arbitron ratings
Schedule music when needed and perform on-air as needed
Ensure all reporting staff has the necessary skills
Maintain high performance and effectively deal with identified non-performance in a timely manner
Recruit and train new staff when and where required
Ensure discretion is exercised for compliance with FCC regulations
Collaborate with the General Manager
Share insights with the Engineering Department
Perform special projects under the direction of the General Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

BA is preferred
Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
Five years related experience and/or training
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
