About the role

  • Support the mechanical design and development of cutting-edge wearable and other consumer devices, with a keen focus on detail, precision, and design
  • Assist in driving product development with our manufacturing partners in Asia, North America, and Europe
  • Build prototypes, test them, learn from failures, and iterate quickly alongside experienced engineers and designers

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field. Experience through academic, internship, or personal projects working on consumer products or hardware.
  • Experience using 3D CAD (NX, SolidWorks, or similar) to design consumer electronic parts including: PCBs, flexes, antennas, enclosures, mechanisms, batteries, etc.
  • Ability to build prototypes quickly and effectively to evaluate design concepts using common shop tools and standard test equipment.
  • Foundational knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks with guidance from senior engineers, stay organized, escalate issues when needed, and communicate progress clearly.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills are important. Be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, work with other engineers and designers, and contribute to project planning and documentation.
