About the role
- Own the quality standards and validation for molding and tooling processes
- Define and enforce acceptance criteria, defect catalogs, and specifications
- Manage quality performance of tooling and molding part suppliers
- Validate and audit FATP molding processes
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and data analytics for performance tracking
- Create and govern Control Plans, pFMEA, and SOPs for molding lines
- Collaborate with tooling designers and process engineers to improve overall quality
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, SQE, or Manufacturing Quality
- A proven track record working in high-volume consumer electronics manufacturing
- Deep hands-on experience designing, qualifying, and setting parameters for inspection systems
- Mastery of statistical analysis and quality engineering tools (JMP, Six Sigma methodologies, etc.)
- The ability to seamlessly switch between auditing components and establishing cosmetic limits
- Comfortable being the objective voice of quality while maintaining collaborative relationships
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to travel globally to supplier and contract manufacturing sites up to 40%
