About the role
- Master the Oura ecosystem, maintaining deep expertise in wearable hardware, mobile apps, data analytics platforms, APIs, and fulfillment pathways to drive technical wins.
- Lead technical discussions for strategic commercial customers, serving as the primary expert on Oura’s hardware, software, and API capabilities.
- Develop a "Technical Sales Playbook" including self-serve integration guides, FAQs, and documentation to streamline transactional sales.
- Ensure technical continuity post-contract by partnering with Customer Success and Implementation teams to drive seamless hand-offs and a consistent partner experience.
- Bridge cross-functional gaps by partnering with Engineering and Product to resolve complex technical requirements for enterprise deals.
- Translate field insights into product requirements, providing a critical feedback loop to internal teams based on customer technical needs.
- Scale the Commercial Sales Engineering function, establishing best practices and identifying future headcount needs as the business grows.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, customer/partner engineering, or other relevant technical sales experience.
- Strategic IC mindset: You are energized by "doing the work" - leading discovery, running demos, and solving technical hurdles personally - while possessing the experience to lead a team in the future.
- Technical content development: A proven record of authoring technical requirement docs, integration guides, and customer-facing enablement materials.
- High-stakes communication: Exceptional verbal skills with a track record of translating complex technical architecture for both C-suite executives and developers.
- Deep technical fluency in hardware (wearables), software (mobile/web), APIs, and logistics/fulfillment infrastructure.
- Health-Tech Integration: Experience connecting hardware/API solutions to third-party ecosystems, including middleware providers, EMRs, or corporate wellness platforms.
- Privacy & compliance fluency: Experience navigating health-tech standards (HIPAA, GDPR) and the technical sensitivities of handling biometric data.
- Cross-functional agility: Proven success aligning Engineering, Product, and Operations to solve customer problems.
- Ideal candidate: Experience in wearables, biometrics, or related healthcare or human performance industry.
