About the role
- Plan, conduct, and analyze a range of user research studies, including usability testing, ethnographic studies, contextual inquiries, user interviews, surveys, and diary studies
- Develop and implement research roadmaps and define research strategy throughout the product lifecycle
- Analyze research data, identify key trends and insights, and communicate findings through reports, presentations, and workshops
- Provide strategic, evidence-based recommendations to stakeholders at all levels
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and Data Scientists to align research goals with product objectives
- Mentor design partners on UX research best practices and coach evaluative research execution within the design team
- Champion the voice of the user within the company to ensure user insights are prioritized in product decisions
- Stay current with UX research methods, tools, and best practices and evolve techniques as needed
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional UX research experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating work across a variety of projects (preferably in wearable tech, consumer electronics, health tech, or mobile apps)
- Extensive experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, field studies, diary studies, and A/B testing
- Ability to learn software and hardware constraints and assess how they impact user experiences
- Proficiency in analyzing user data and synthesizing insights to drive design decisions
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R, or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex findings to senior executives and stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to derive actionable insights
- Proven experience working in cross-functional teams and navigating ambiguity in fast-paced environments
- Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
