About the role
- Drive execution of Upstart’s securitization issuance and asset-backed financing strategy across multiple products
- Structure and model asset-backed transactions, including reviewing collateral performance and bond cashflows
- Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, lenders, and banking partners
- Lead investor discussions, including presenting new products and opportunities with limited historical performance data
- Partner with legal, operations, analytics, and accounting to execute transactions and ensure alignment across stakeholders
- Present transaction updates, market insights, and funding strategies to senior leadership
- Support development of junior team members through coaching and guidance
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in capital markets, structured finance, investment banking, or a related field
- Experience structuring and executing asset-backed securities (ABS) or other structured finance transactions
- Experience building and reviewing asset-level and bond-level cashflow models
- Experience presenting investment opportunities, transaction structures, or financial products to institutional investors
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience)
