About the role
- Conduct energy audits (ASHRAE Level I–III) for commercial, institutional, and government facilities
- Identify, evaluate, and quantify Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs)
- Perform energy modeling and savings calculations using industry-standard tools
- Support development of ESPC proposals, including technical scope and financial analysis
- Assist in preparing investment-grade audits (IGAs) and technical reports
- Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and subcontractors during implementation
- Support Measurement & Verification (M&V) activities in accordance with IPMVP standards
- Analyze utility data and develop baseline energy consumption models
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local energy regulations and ESPC requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related field
- 2–5+ years of experience in energy engineering, ESCO, or performance contracting (preferred)
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, lighting systems, building automation systems, and central plants
- Experience with energy modeling software (e.g., eQUEST, EnergyPlus, TRACE, or similar)
- Familiarity with ESPC processes, federal guidelines, and M&V protocols (IPMVP) is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and technical reporting.
