About the role
- Partner with the Upbound pre-sales team for customer transitions
- Understand customer environments and requirements
- Ensure successful adoption of Upbound and Crossplane technology
- Perform technical discovery for engagements
- Troubleshoot technical challenges during implementation phase
- Enhance customer deployments by writing code and fixing bugs
- Build and maintain cloud native reference platforms
- Collaborate cross-departmentally for complex scenarios
- Represent customer needs internally to influence product roadmap
- Be a trusted technical advisor to customers
Requirements
- Written and maintained code that interfaces with the Kubernetes API
- Managed production Kubernetes deployments
- Background in platform engineering/SRE
- German language proficiency is a huge plus
- Deep understanding of highly scaled and reliable services in multiple cloud providers
- Excellent communication skills
- Worked directly with customers to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues
- Deployed and integrated projects and tools of the Cloud Native Landscape
- Incorporated modern operational and application delivery tools into production workflows
- Programming skills in a modern language (Go is ideal)
- Ability to work closely with people in a wide variety of disciplines
- Successfully managed multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excitement for defining and scaling engineering efforts
