About the role
- Lead and develop a team of infrastructure engineers and support specialists
- Keep infrastructure services available, secure, and scalable across on-prem and cloud
- Drive standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement
- Own end-user technology standards, roadmaps, and asset lifecycle management
- Act as senior escalation point, including out-of-hours support
- Deliver infrastructure projects and transformation initiatives
- Partner closely with plant operations to enable IT/OT convergence
- Own infrastructure budgets, forecasting, and cost optimisation
- Manage vendors and service providers for performance and value
- Provide clear, confident updates to the CTO and senior leadership
Requirements
- Proven experience leading infrastructure or technical support teams
- Strong technical grounding across networks, data centres/cloud, workplace tech, and ITSM
- Confidence making decisions under pressure in a 24/7 environment
- Budget ownership and vendor management experience
- Clear communicator who can translate tech into business outcomes
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on edge
- Willingness to travel and take part in an on-call escalation rota
- Manufacturing or industrial IT experience
- Degree or equivalent experience
