About the role
- Providing technical assistance to faculty members relative to all aspects of proposal support, including analysis of the RFP/solicitation, proposal planning and budget development, facilitating internal/external collaborative arrangements, assisting with final submission to sponsor
- Serving as liaison with internal and external constituencies to facilitate collaborative research activities through exchanging information and clarifying procedures and requirements during the proposal stage
- Coordinating the strategic development of large proposals
- Participating in ongoing examinations of college research metrics and benchmarking data to facilitate strategic planning and decision-making by college leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Eight (8) years of experience related to sponsored research or closely related experience to the position's duties
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience interpreting and applying federal regulations relative to sponsored research
- Demonstrated ability to work and/or lead within a team
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Superior critical analyses abilities; keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding problem-solving skills
- Superior customer service skills
- Project management skills
- Working knowledge of myriad funding agency-specific guidelines relative to sponsored research
