About the role
- The Assistant Access Director manages the day-to-day operations of the Admissions and Emergency Department.
- Responsible for unit performance that meets or exceeds the unit standards; reports directly to Access Director and will comply with all ICE and UAMS policies.
- Position supervises staff and ensures all Office of Human Resource policies and regulatory guidelines are followed and is responsible for ensuring unit provides the highest level of customer service.
- Displays exceptional supervisory, communication, interpersonal and collaborative skill.
- Monitors staff performance through various methodologies including monthly quality/productivity audits and establishes performance standards in collaboration with the department director.
- Identifies relevant trends by reviewing available reports and initiates process improvement activity when warranted.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience.
- Four (4) years experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.
