About the role

  • The REAL Deal Facilitator is a full-time, 12-month embedded role supporting students within the Little Rock School District’s Alternative Learning Environment campuses and the City of Little Rock Summer Youth Program
  • This position leads the implementation of REAL Deal programming by delivering curriculum, supporting student engagement, and coordinating services across sites
  • The facilitator provides direct student support through coaching, behavioral assessment, crisis response, case management, and trauma-informed practices
  • They deliver small-group workshops, reinforce curriculum, monitor student progress, and connect students to appropriate health and mental health resources
  • This role also partners with families, schools, and community organizations to strengthen support systems, remove barriers to learning, and promote student success
  • The facilitator supports skill-building in areas such as emotional regulation, conflict resolution, attendance, and long-term planning, while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and standards related to student care and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of project/program management experience with experience working with youth or families in school, clinical, or community settings required
  • Experience with trauma-informed practice, crisis response, and case management preferred
  • Demonstrates knowledge of federal and state laws related to disabilities, mental health, child welfare, confidentiality, mandated reporting, and student/family rights
  • Strong ability to engage high-risk youth with cultural competence and trauma awareness
  • Skilled in crisis de-escalation, safety planning, and coordination of community services
  • Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in diverse school environments.
