About the role
- serve as the primary advisor to the Graduate Professional Student Congress (GPSC) and the Office of Financial Affairs (OFA)
- aid in the development of graduate student leaders of GPSC
- effective advising of the ASG Treasurer in their role overseeing OFA
- effective management of GPSC elections
- stewardship and oversight of GPSC and OFA budgets
- oversee revision of documents including GPSC code/constitution and OFA Standing Rules
- serve as direct advisor for the GPSC Executive Team and as a resource to organizational officers and members
- collaborate with other student government staff in developing comprehensive, co-curricular programs for student government
- attend weekly OFA board meetings to facilitate the interpretation of standing rules for funding decisions
- supervise a graduate assistant and serve as liaison between OFA and the Fiscal Support Specialist
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
- Progressive experience in student government advisement or similar student leadership program
- Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications
