About the role

  • serve as the primary advisor to the Graduate Professional Student Congress (GPSC) and the Office of Financial Affairs (OFA)
  • aid in the development of graduate student leaders of GPSC
  • effective advising of the ASG Treasurer in their role overseeing OFA
  • effective management of GPSC elections
  • stewardship and oversight of GPSC and OFA budgets
  • oversee revision of documents including GPSC code/constitution and OFA Standing Rules
  • serve as direct advisor for the GPSC Executive Team and as a resource to organizational officers and members
  • collaborate with other student government staff in developing comprehensive, co-curricular programs for student government
  • attend weekly OFA board meetings to facilitate the interpretation of standing rules for funding decisions
  • supervise a graduate assistant and serve as liaison between OFA and the Fiscal Support Specialist

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Progressive experience in student government advisement or similar student leadership program
  • Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications
