About the role
- Exercise and promote safety
- Design and manufacture of production tooling, roll form dies, manufacturing fixtures, and gauges
- R&D to customer requirements
- Process support and design
- Machine design, selection, and implementation
- CNC Programming of Vertical Integration machines
- Collaborate with outside vendors, including the purchasing of non-production materials
- Communicate routinely with customers to resolve design and production issues
- Lead production engineering matters for all production departments
- Works in collaboration with all production, quality, and sales departments
- Provide technical production support, identify potential production problems, and implement solutions
- Participate in the implementation of plans to support increased production volumes and rates
- Ability to manage a variety of projects with the ability to shift priorities based on internal and external customer needs
- Regular independent use of 2D and 3D CAD systems (SolidWorks, Catia, and AutoCAD) with a high skill level
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering technology
- 5+ years of relevant experience working in manufacturing
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Full understanding of basic mathematics (Algebra, Trigonometry, and Statistical Analysis)
- Ability to interpret customer drawings, notes, tolerances, and specifications
- Physically able to stand, bend, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
