Backend Engineer

• Implement services: You will implement and optimize services and interfaces for our UCS@school product — primarily using Python on Linux systems
• Ensure quality: You ensure appropriate test coverage and make sure our solutions remain stable, maintainable, and future-proof
• Collaborate in an agile team: You develop within an agile team and actively contribute to planning, implementation, and continuous improvement

• Develop services: You develop and optimize services and interfaces for identity-managed services. In doing so, you implement components of our products UCS and Nubus — primarily with Python on Linux — and deploy them on Debian-based systems as well as in Kubernetes environments

• Ensure quality: Maintain appropriate test coverage and ensure our solutions remain robust, maintainable, and reliable
• Collaborate in an agile way: Work in an agile team and actively contribute to planning, implementation, and continuous improvement
• Design backend systems: Develop scalable backend systems and work with PostgreSQL databases as well as LDAP directory services such as Samba and/or OpenLDAP
• Use containers: Build and operate containerized applications with Docker

• Redesign the frontend: You will be responsible for redesigning and further developing our web-based administration interfaces for Nubus — with a focus on Vue.js
