About the role
- Conduct in-depth research with stakeholders including CFOs, finance teams, and operational leaders.
- Observe real workflows through shadowing, process walkthroughs, and working sessions.
- Map decision-making processes, behaviours, and pain points.
- Identify barriers to adoption including trust, organisational dynamics, and compliance concerns.
- Translate business problems into user, workflow, and experience requirements.
- Design intuitive workflows that simplify complex AI capabilities.
- Translate model outputs into clear, actionable user interactions.
- Define patterns for explainability, confidence, and transparency in AI systems.
- Create interaction models for effective human-AI collaboration.
- Build prototypes and interactive flows to validate ideas before engineering.
- Enforce accessibility standards across AI products to ensure usability for all users and reduce adoption barriers.
- Design onboarding journeys that lead users to early value.
- Define the “first value moment” for each product.
- Create training experiences that drive behaviour change, not documentation.
- Design rollout strategies tailored to different organisations and user groups.
- Define what successful adoption looks like in measurable terms.
Requirements
- Strong experience in qualitative research, including interviews and workflow observation.
- Ability to uncover how organisations actually operate, not how they claim to operate.
- Experience identifying behavioural patterns, decision-making processes, and resistance to change.
- Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and navigating complex environments.
- Experience designing user flows and interaction models for complex systems.
- Ability to simplify technical or data-driven processes into intuitive experiences.
- Strong prototyping capability using tools such as Figma, FigJam, or Miro.
- Understanding of explainability and trust in AI-driven experiences.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and design systems.
- Experience designing for adoption, not just usability.
- Awareness of organisational dynamics, incentives, and barriers.
- Interest or experience in AI-powered or data-driven products.
- Ability to translate between technical capabilities and user needs.
