About the role
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming contractual compliance audits; scope and fulfill data requests
- Review customer contracts to interpret applicable commercial terms including pricing schedules, rebates, markups, labor rates, logistics charges, billing procedures, and payment timelines
- Analyze Summary of Monetary Issues (SMI) reports and other auditor findings; conduct internal audits using company data and financial analysis to validate or dispute claims
- Develop clear, data-backed dispute responses and manage negotiations with auditors within approved parameters
- Partner with Sales, Pricing, Finance, and Legal teams to align audit defense strategies and present updates to senior leadership
- Maintain a repository of audit precedents, recommend process improvements, and collaborate to enhance contract structures and data retrieval systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in contract compliance, audit defense, financial analysis, or related fields
- Experience in equipment rental, manufacturing, or similar industries preferred
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Advanced skills in Word and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex commercial contracts
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with ERP systems, data analysis tools, and openness to leveraging AI solutions
