Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming contractual compliance audits; scope and fulfill data requests
Review customer contracts to interpret applicable commercial terms including pricing schedules, rebates, markups, labor rates, logistics charges, billing procedures, and payment timelines
Analyze Summary of Monetary Issues (SMI) reports and other auditor findings; conduct internal audits using company data and financial analysis to validate or dispute claims
Develop clear, data-backed dispute responses and manage negotiations with auditors within approved parameters
Partner with Sales, Pricing, Finance, and Legal teams to align audit defense strategies and present updates to senior leadership
Maintain a repository of audit precedents, recommend process improvements, and collaborate to enhance contract structures and data retrieval systems
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
5–7 years of relevant experience in contract compliance, audit defense, financial analysis, or related fields
Experience in equipment rental, manufacturing, or similar industries preferred
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Advanced skills in Word and PowerPoint
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex commercial contracts
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously under tight deadlines
Familiarity with ERP systems, data analysis tools, and openness to leveraging AI solutions
