About the role
- Provide ongoing accounting and management of grants budgets, expenditures, revenues and financial reporting
- Assist in managing the financial aspects of grants, including budgeting and tracking expenditures
- Ensure compliance and prepare financial reports
- Maintain grant budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of expenditures and adherence to grant guidelines
- Collaborate with the Director of Grants and Contracts to conduct monthly budget reviews, projections, and goal setting
- Perform grant reconciliations and closeout functions
- Prepare all adjusting journal entries for inputting into the computerized general ledger program
- Act as financial liaison for all subcontractors on assigned grants and contracts
- Monitor and analyze budgets and expenses to ensure compliance with policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years directly related experience in grants, accounting/finance, or similar experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel knowledge
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet expected deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of accounting/finance & reporting software, such as Paylocity, Acumatica, etc. is a plus
