About the role

  • Provide ongoing accounting and management of grants budgets, expenditures, revenues and financial reporting
  • Assist in managing the financial aspects of grants, including budgeting and tracking expenditures
  • Ensure compliance and prepare financial reports
  • Maintain grant budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of expenditures and adherence to grant guidelines
  • Collaborate with the Director of Grants and Contracts to conduct monthly budget reviews, projections, and goal setting
  • Perform grant reconciliations and closeout functions
  • Prepare all adjusting journal entries for inputting into the computerized general ledger program
  • Act as financial liaison for all subcontractors on assigned grants and contracts
  • Monitor and analyze budgets and expenses to ensure compliance with policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years directly related experience in grants, accounting/finance, or similar experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel knowledge
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet expected deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of accounting/finance & reporting software, such as Paylocity, Acumatica, etc. is a plus
