About the role

  • Create high-level preliminary route designs for all categories of HLE requests and provide initial cost estimates based on the proposed routes.
  • Coordinate with the fielding team on site visit schedules and data-gathering requirements.
  • Perform detailed OSP designs in strict accordance with United Design Standards.
  • Develop, draft, and prepare all required documentation needed to issue a fully executable project to Construction.
  • Utilize digital field-collection methods to support project planning and design.
  • Maintain expected QC grading for all design projects.
  • Process revision requests, cost-change approvals, and as-built redlines to ensure record compliance.
  • Ensure SLA compliance within assigned areas of focus.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Understanding of FTTH, Metro-E, and FTTX Network Architecture.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in related Fielding or Construction position.
  • Proficiency in GIS/CAD design support software, with experience using tools such as AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction-related prints.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Smartsheet
