About the role
- Create high-level preliminary route designs for all categories of HLE requests and provide initial cost estimates based on the proposed routes.
- Coordinate with the fielding team on site visit schedules and data-gathering requirements.
- Perform detailed OSP designs in strict accordance with United Design Standards.
- Develop, draft, and prepare all required documentation needed to issue a fully executable project to Construction.
- Utilize digital field-collection methods to support project planning and design.
- Maintain expected QC grading for all design projects.
- Process revision requests, cost-change approvals, and as-built redlines to ensure record compliance.
- Ensure SLA compliance within assigned areas of focus.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Understanding of FTTH, Metro-E, and FTTX Network Architecture.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in related Fielding or Construction position.
- Proficiency in GIS/CAD design support software, with experience using tools such as AutoCAD
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction-related prints.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Smartsheet
