Field Engineer

• Support the design, build, and maintenance of fiber and copper distribution networks
• Review preliminary routing provided by OSP Design Engineering
• Specify pole height/class and collect necessary data to support PLA requirements
• Prepare staking sheets for new construction
• Demonstrate knowledge of property deeds, right-of-way easements
• Interface with landowners to obtain easements for fiber facility construction
• Conduct pre-surveys of job sites to determine workforce and safety requirements
• Plan, coordinate, and inspect construction and right-of-way crew work
• Prepare and submit as-built records to maintain engineering database
• Assist in managing relationships with regional utilities and governments
• Address property owner concerns and general inquiries
