About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the design, build, and maintenance of fiber and copper distribution networks
Review preliminary routing provided by OSP Design Engineering
Specify pole height/class and collect necessary data to support PLA requirements
Prepare staking sheets for new construction
Demonstrate knowledge of property deeds, right-of-way easements
Interface with landowners to obtain easements for fiber facility construction
Conduct pre-surveys of job sites to determine workforce and safety requirements
Plan, coordinate, and inspect construction and right-of-way crew work
Prepare and submit as-built records to maintain engineering database
Assist in managing relationships with regional utilities and governments
Address property owner concerns and general inquiries

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of experience in engineering, network construction, or related field
Knowledge of telecommunications design, construction practices, and industry standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with mapping or engineering tools
Experience with FTTP documentation, cost analysis, and database recordkeeping preferred
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused professional
