About the role
- Own end-to-end collections execution across assigned customer portfolios to drive cash recovery and DSO improvement.
- Build and maintain advanced Excel automation (pivots, Power Query, macros/VBA) for cash reconciliation and AR reporting.
- Reconcile Workday AR subledger to cash receipts and support clean month-end AR close and tie-outs.
- Analyze AR aging, payment trends, and risk buckets; proactively flag collection risks and actions required.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Billing, and Legal to resolve invoice issues and accelerate collections.
- Prepare weekly/monthly cash and collections dashboards with variance analysis vs forecast.
- Drive continuous process improvements across collections, cash application, and order-to-cash workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 6–10 years of hands-on experience in collections, AR, or cash operations (SaaS / technology preferred)
- Experience with Workday Financial Management (AR, Cash Application, reporting)
- Expert-level Excel skills ; demonstrated success automating cash reconciliation and AR reporting
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and ownership mindset; comfortable operating independently
- Experience partnering cross-functionally in a fast-paced, scaling organization
