About the role
- Maintain prime power systems (transformer vaults to distribution boards).
- Operate and maintain diesel-electric generators, ensuring fuel supply and availability.
- Provide compliance inspections in accordance with CEI 64/08 prescriptions.
- Operate and maintain UPS, batteries, and emergency lighting.
- Perform preventive maintenance on cross-site cabling, grounding, lightning protection, radomes, EMP pneumatic doors, and hydraulic systems.
- Provide basic maintenance of site security systems (gates, bollards, access infrastructure).
- Provide maintenance of HVAC, heating, air handling units, and fire protection systems.
- Collaborate with industry providers for contracted services under Site Engineer oversight.
- Maintain accurate service records in TT-Comms, ITSM, and site logbooks.
- Provide monthly status reports on maintenance, incidents, and improvements.
- Support Site Engineers in planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field and 5 years technical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in power systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in power distribution systems, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) units, and generators.
- Proficiency in monitoring and maintaining equipment such as rectifiers, inverters, and RF amplifiers, with working knowledge of remote telemetry and control systems.
- Experience ensuring compliance with safety standards, preventive maintenance schedules, and technical documentation for classified or mission-critical operations.
- Familiarity with DoD power system standards, STIG compliance for infrastructure components, and audit support for operational readiness.
- An active security clearance at NATO Secret level is required at the time of application.
