About the role
- Acquire new customers within the Public Sector Germany team, one of Personio’s fastest-growing segments — with monthly sales targets, OTE, and accelerators for outperforming targets.
- Drive strategic expansion of the public sector customer base from several hundred to thousands, offering strong development opportunities for your career.
- Build and manage a sales pipeline in close coordination with a dedicated marketing and sales development team.
- Benefit from prioritized support by Personio’s leadership, including a specialized legal team (e.g., for tenders, EVB-IT Cloud) and dedicated solution engineers.
- Own the full sales cycle — from qualified opportunity to contract signing — followed by handover to our account management team.
- Perform deep qualification of the customer situation, both at the HR function level and across the broader organization, and develop the business case for Personio accordingly.
- Manage external stakeholders, primarily HR, IT, project management, procurement offices, external consultants, legal teams, and C-level executives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in new business sales for B2B SaaS or B2B software solutions, including at least 3 years’ experience in the public sector.
- Experience with complex software procurement and tendering processes for organizations with more than 500 employees.
- Passion for the digitalization of the public sector.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset, with a desire to actively shape the growth and development of the public sector and to test new approaches to achieve this.
- Excellent qualification skills, enabling you to identify needs at both the functional (HR) and organizational levels.
- High-quality sales training completed, ideally with MEDDIC methodology.
- Self-motivated, with a habit of challenging yourself to improve every day.
- Collaborative team player who consistently supports and motivates colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Structured, analytical, and independent working style that enables you to solve complex tasks in a goal-oriented way.
- True “hunter” mentality, proactively seeking ways to exceed targets.
- Fluent in German (native level or equivalent C2) and professional working proficiency in English.
