About the role
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across your portfolio. Own the full upsell cycle while maintaining strong retention.
- Expand strategically through account growth and renewals—prioritize the highest-impact opportunities to exceed targets.
- Run end-to-end renewal cycles: craft proposals, negotiate terms, manage approvals, and document deal insights to protect and extend customer value.
- Identify and prioritize upsell/cross-sell opportunities, conduct focused discovery, deliver compelling demos, and negotiate to close. Simplify complex expansions and present clear ROI to champions and HR leaders.
- Capture customer feedback and market signals, identify patterns, and relay them to Product and Engineering teams to influence the roadmap with measurable business impact.
- Maintain impeccable pipeline hygiene and accurate monthly expansion and churn forecasts in SFDC. Build close plans, de-risk early, and communicate status with no surprises.
- Detect downgrade and churn signals (adoption gaps, loss of executive sponsorship, competitive pressure) and execute structured save plays. Manage escalations with calm, solution-oriented leadership.
- Orchestrate the right internal experts at the right time so every customer interaction is seamless.
Requirements
- 1+ years in sales or account management with a proven track record of growing accounts and exceeding retention targets.
- Strong communicator who negotiates in the company’s best interest.
- Able to build and sustain relationships across diverse customer profiles and committed to delivering outstanding experiences.
- Background in client-facing roles (Account Management/Customer Success/Sales). Experience as an Account Executive is beneficial but not required.
- A true team player who thrives at the intersection of Solution Sales, Payroll, Product, Legal, and Finance.
- Ambitious with a growth mindset — curious, coachable, and continuously improving.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments; proactively solves problems and treats change as a catalyst for progress.
- Interested in applying AI and automation to sales and customer workflows.
- Business-proficient in German and fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Benefits
- Receive a competitive compensation package — reviewed annually — that includes salary, benefits, and pre-IPO equity.
- Enjoy 28 days of paid vacation, plus an additional day after 2 and 4 years of service.
- Make a positive impact on the environment and society with 1 fully paid Impact Day.
- Generous family leave, child support, mental health resources, and sabbatical opportunities.
