Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to deliver actionable insights and improve operational efficiency
Develop and maintain data reports, dashboards, and visualizations for operational and strategic use
Build interactive, secure dashboards that enable self-service data discovery
Partner with stakeholders (colleagues, campus and foundation personnel, functional end-users) to gather requirements and ensure deliverables align with enterprise standards
Validate the accuracy and reliability of reports using systematic methodologies and cross-checking multiple data sources
Maintain clear documentation, including usage guides, definitions, and reporting standards
Contribute to data quality assurance, data governance, reporting standards, and continuous improvement in analytics capacity
Engage stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and advance a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 2 -3 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field
Demonstrated experience presenting data analyses through dashboards, visualizations, and reports
Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation and understanding of core database concepts
Experience with data querying, aggregation, and working with large data sets
Strong attention to detail with commitment to data accuracy and integrity
Ability to understand analytical questions, identify relevant data elements, and design visualizations
Intellectual curiosity and ability to ask thoughtful follow-up questions based on data exploration
Excellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking, and quantitative reasoning skills
Strong problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities in data-driven environments
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and workgroups
Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to manage time and competing priorities independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies, tools, and data environments
Commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with trends in data analytics and reporting
Candidates must reside and be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available
Preferred:
Experience using RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server
Familiarity with Microsoft BI, PeopleSoft PS Query, or similar reporting tools
Experience working in a higher education environment
Knowledge of data governance, privacy standards, and best practices for handling institutional data
