About the role

  • Driving growth of sales revenue in a designated area by prospecting new business and establishing new customers
  • Contacting identified accounts via phone and in-person to develop customer relationships and facilitate sales
  • Propose pricing, recommend inventory programs and customer payment methodologies, and negotiate contracts
  • Completing special projects such as market and industry trend analyses
  • Interfacing with Customer Service, Purchasing, Compliance, and Shipping/Receiving to support efficient processing of orders
  • Participating in trade shows and industry conventions
  • Other duties as needed

Requirements

  • A degree in business or chemistry/related sciences
  • Practical working experience in sales or marketing of industrial products, or an aptitude for sales functions
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Aptitude for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships with patience and persistence
