About the role
- Driving growth of sales revenue in a designated area by prospecting new business and establishing new customers
- Contacting identified accounts via phone and in-person to develop customer relationships and facilitate sales
- Propose pricing, recommend inventory programs and customer payment methodologies, and negotiate contracts
- Completing special projects such as market and industry trend analyses
- Interfacing with Customer Service, Purchasing, Compliance, and Shipping/Receiving to support efficient processing of orders
- Participating in trade shows and industry conventions
- Other duties as needed
Requirements
- A degree in business or chemistry/related sciences
- Practical working experience in sales or marketing of industrial products, or an aptitude for sales functions
- Ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision
- Aptitude for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships with patience and persistence
