About the role

  • Lead monthly forecasting reviews, including orders, sales, operating income, and cash flow performance
  • Generate and present comprehensive financial reporting packages; advise program managers and technical leads on contract financial performance and variance analysis
  • Conduct month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and cost reconciliations
  • Develop and maintain detailed monthly forecasts for program revenue and costs
  • Drive regular reviews of key financial metrics with program and finance teams to ensure accountability and transparency
  • Implement, monitor, and analyze program budgets and schedules, identifying opportunities for process and cost improvements
  • Consolidate and organize cost and schedule data for internal monthly program reviews and executive presentations
  • Participate in internal and external financial/schedule meetings, providing clear and concise updates on program performance
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships to enhance collaboration, information sharing, and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years in accounting, finance, or related functions
  • Minimum 1 year of people leadership experience
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and performance management
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
  • Previous experience in the defense industry
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to execute tactically and deliver results across multiple organizational functions without direct authority
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to identify risks, model financial impacts, and recommend actionable solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills—able to convey complex financial concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with financial systems and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing initiatives in fast-paced, matrixed environments
  • Proven ability to collaborate across geographically dispersed teams to achieve common financial goals.
