About the role
- Drive adoption and use of Autodesk Revit software
- Drive and manage the adoption and use of supporting software and automations for project delivery.
- Evaluate new project delivery-related software and technologies to enhance productivity and project performance.
- Stay informed on best practices for use of software impacting digital design.
- Promote integration and efficiency tools to increase effectiveness in the project delivery process.
- Responsible for 3D design, documentation, and technology standards.
- Create and ongoing maintenance of software templates, library, and tools to ensure high standards adoption across all offices.
- Involved in automation of processes and tasks using Dynamo, custom coding, and/or integrations with 3rd party tools.
- Coordinates with the QA/QC team to assist in the evaluation of and increasing adherence to company standards of project documentation.
- Work with various committees to strategize project delivery, company operations, best practices, guidelines, and implementation across all offices.
- Create standards documentation and material for ease of adoption across all offices.
- Develop and maintain processes and techniques for rapid 3D visualization of design concepts.
- Work closely with the Design Technology Manager and project teams within the Substation department, ensuring needs are met.
- Create written technology evaluations and budgets for future technology adoption that align with the corporate goals.
- Maintain a workflow process that promotes user involvement in forming feedback channels to continue to improve and enhance existing project delivery and optimization of BIM standards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in design delivery as it relates to 3D Design and BIM, utilizing Revit.
- Provide fundamental training to advance Revit processes.
- Create and conduct internal continuing education training sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in architectural or engineering design or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience or equivalent in 3D design in large complex projects utilizing Autodesk Revit.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in computational design within the AEC industry.
- Expertise with Autodesk Revit and its API is required.
- Expertise in parametric modeling, algorithmic design, generative design, and form-finding techniques.
- Strong skills in visual programming languages (Grasshopper, Dynamo)
- Strong skills in scripting languages (Python, C#)
- Experience with machine learning and AI applications in design preferred.
- Experience with project delivery software such as BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud is required.
- Strong computer, technical, and communication skills are required.
- Ability to seek out and resolve issues through close interaction with other project team members.
- Effective communication and training skills (verbal and written).
- Strong teaching and coaching skills to bring new team members up to speed.
- Demonstrate skills of self-motivation and drive.
- Experience in the power sector, including data centers, or infrastructure a plus but not a requirement.
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
