Manage a team of project manager/underwriters negotiating, structuring, underwriting, and closing equity and debt investments utilizing Renewable Energy Tax Credits (RETC)
Manage relationships with customers and internal Production and/or Syndications Business Development Officers to negotiate investment terms
Engage and coordinate third party professionals (attorneys, accountants, etc.) to draft, collect, and review documents and financial projections necessary to close investments
Coordinate with portfolio managers to prepare and fund initial closing funds and transition investments to portfolio management and asset/fund management for ongoing maintenance and management
Participate in the establishment of policies and procedures necessary for accomplishing the group's tasks
Oversee negotiation, structuring, and underwriting processes across market areas serviced by U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance
Requirements
Typically Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically 10 or more years of banking and/or tax credit industry experience
Typically three or more years of management experience
Thorough understanding of tax credit investment management
Strong knowledge of construction finance, legal documentation and requirements, real estate property management, and accounting
General real estate development and/or property management background preferred
Knowledge of LIHTC, RETC, HTC and/or NMTC preferred
MBA in finance or accounting preferred
Well-developed leadership abilities and strategic management skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
Considerable tact and people skills
Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures and pass background checks; may require FINRA, NMLS, Reg Z, Reg G, OFAC, NFA, FCPA, Bank Secrecy Act, or SAFE Act compliance
