About the role
- Support the processing of GTSS and FX transactions at various stages of the trade life cycle.
- Review, execute, and reconcile trade transactions, payments, settlements, and related documentation.
- Verify transactional completeness and accuracy in alignment with service levels, policies, terms, and procedures.
- Ensure all necessary documentation, materials, and approvals are in place before processing or releasing transactions.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, including incorrect system setups, fee calculations, or payment terms.
- Partner with IT to troubleshoot system issues and support long‑term solutions.
- Communicate with clients regarding outstanding items, invoice clarification, and payment‑related questions.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers and internal teams to validate calculations, prepare Excel templates, and support client needs.
- For Standby Letters of Credit: Ensure regulatory and credit approvals are obtained prior to issuance processing or release.
- Examine documents for compliance with LC terms.
- Work with RMs, clients, beneficiaries, and internal/external Counsel to structure and finalize complex SBLCs.
- Advise management on developments that may impact processes or departmental operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three or more years of relevant work experience
- Thorough knowledge of specific international banking products, payment services, foreign exchange and general bank operating policies and procedures
- Strong problem-solving and client servicing skills
- Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems with minimal guidance
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office and Excel applications
