• Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
• Manage and assign your team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.
• Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
• Other duties as assigned by management

Assistant Moving Center Manager

Sales

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including checking fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment)
• Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment)
• Other duties as assigned
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Customer Service Representative

• Assist with calls from and to customers.
• Help support field team members and U-Haul dealerships with equipment and reservation management and placement.
• Direct incoming customers' equipment to areas based on customer demand and productivity status.
• Review reports that aid in effective placement of equipment, customer reservations and contracts.
• Assist with the Company’s U-Box portable storage product.

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.

• Communicate with the General Manager to keep them apprised of important updates.

• Complete a daily storage facility inspection.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Center Storage Manager

Project Manager

• Assist with and coordinate the development, maintenance, and delivery of educational programs and learning solutions for U-Haul University.
• Partner with business stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), eLearning Specialists, and Instructional Designers to ensure educational projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals.
• Manage project schedules, track deliverables, coordinate stakeholder communication, and support the full lifecycle of learning initiatives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and status reports.
• Track project progress and maintain project documentation, meeting notes, action items, and project records.
• Coordinate stakeholder reviews and approval processes throughout course development.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships across departments and business units.
• Facilitate project meetings and communicate project updates to stakeholders as needed.
• Support course development workflows, including storyboards, scripts, assessments, multimedia assets, and supporting materials.
• Monitor learner completion data and generate reports for stakeholders and leadership.
• Assist in tracking project budgets, expenditures, and resource utilization to support effective project planning and financial accountability.
