About the role
- Support the site manager with facility operations
- Answer phone inquiries from active and prospective customers
- Show storage units, explain the terms of rental agreements and prepare rental contracts
- Inspect and maintain equipment; assist customers using technology to dispatch and return equipment
- Perform general routine property cleanup and minor repair work
- Ensure that all vacant storage units are clean, dry, secure and available for new customers
- Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Driver’s license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record
- Excellent communication skills
- Available to work on weekends and holidays
- Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted
- May be required to use protective clothing or gear (masks, goggles, gloves, shields)
- U-Haul will not hire nicotine users in specified states (applicable where state law allows)
