Financial Planning and Analysis

• Responsible for the day-to-day program finance function including program setup, maintenance, tracking, budgeting and forecasting, analysis and reporting of various contract types, size and complexity.
• Work closely with program management, group FP&A lead, contracts, subcontracts, accounts payable, and billing.
• Support daily financial operations, including invoicing, accruals, revenue recognition, funding tracking, EACs and routine financial reporting in compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) requirements.
• Maintain financial records, process contract-related transactions and provide program control support to ensure accurate and timely execution of program activities.
• Ensure that projects are set up to properly capture costs, recognize revenue, and bill customers to ensure compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
• Interpret government contracts and requirements to ensure appropriate program financial management, Deltek Costpoint functionality, and compliance with contractual reporting obligations.
• Perform routine and non-routine project financial reporting including but not limited to Project Profit and Loss Statements, Project Status Reports, 75% Funding Notifications, Estimates to Complete, Estimates at Completion, Forecast and Budget Reports, Invoice Backup Reports, and various other client-specific reports.
• Review invoices, timesheets, subcontractor invoices, vendor invoices, travel documentation, funding statements, etc. to verify all entries are compliant with policies and procedures and captured appropriately.
• Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and assessing contracts taking into consideration revenue recognition models and criteria.
• Foster formal and informal communication networks between all stakeholders including but not limited to: Vertical Leadership, Operations Teams, Project Managers, Customers, Accounting, and Contracts.
• Complete monthly Accruals and EAC updates for revenue recognition.
• Track subcontractor spending to determine funds exhaustion and burn rate.
• Assist PMs in identifying upsides/downsides (risk/opportunities) for each contract.
