About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and deploy AWS-based hosting environments on EKS and meet customer requirements that span multiple AWS services.
  • Support cloud migration, implementation, and modernization efforts, providing architectural guidance for AWS-based solutions.
  • Troubleshoot application deployments, recreate customer issues, and build proof of concept applications.
  • Write and interpret configuration scripts for customer environments to install programs, configure logging, and modify configuration files.
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions depending on customer use cases.
  • Support infrastructure hardening, vulnerability scanning, and remediation efforts following cloud security best practices.
  • Provide technical documentation and supporting artifacts for Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages and work closely with compliance teams when supporting regulated cloud environments.
  • Research, evaluate, and apply emerging technologies to improve cloud architectures, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and develop team members by sharing technical expertise, promoting knowledge sharing, and fostering continuous learning.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Developed and implemented Kubernetes/EKS, ECS, Docker and containerized solution architectures with advanced engineering concepts around security, segmentation, vulnerability and image scanning, and integration with third-party tools like Sysdig Falco, Calico, Service Mesh etc.
  • Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications
  • Knowledge of AWS and Cloud Computing concepts (preferred experience with AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS CloudFormation or AWS OpsWorks)
  • Understand how to management and troubleshooting on Kubernetes.
  • Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and/or Microsoft Windows Server and associated technologies (Active Directory, Exchange etc.)
  • Understanding of IP Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, etc.)
  • One or more container orchestration management experience (e.g. Docker, OpenShift Kubernetes)
  • Troubleshooting skills at multiple levels of complexity.
  • Expertise using Terraform and Cloud Formation
  • Experience with one or more DevOps, Orchestration/Configuration Management and Continuous Integration technology (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Ansible)
  • Programming experience with one or more scripting language (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, Python, Node.JS)
  • One or more version control platform (e.g. Git, Perforce, SVN, TFVC)
