About the role
- Manage key asset and liability accounts (bank & cash, prepayments, fixed assets, creditors, accruals) and perform reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries and own various month-end processes and GL account reconciliations.
- Identify and resolve reconciliation variances and assist in expense analysis for management reporting.
- Support the financial integrity of general ledgers and provide ad-hoc support to the Finance function.
- Assist with year-end and half-year audits for NASDAQ and ASIC compliance and support quarterly NASDAQ reporting requirements.
- Assist with fortnightly payroll tasks for Australia and US and cover payroll processing during Payroll Administrator’s leave.
- Proactively identify opportunities for value creation and process improvement and comply with Work Health and Safety policies.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce; CPA/CA qualification or currently pursuing one.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
- Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software; NetSuite and Power BI are a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational abilities.
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Proactive, innovative, and adaptable with a focus on continuous improvement.
