About the role
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C# and .NET Core.
- Build and optimize APIs and integrations used by web, mobile, and external partners.
- Contribute to system architecture, domain modeling, and service ownership.
- Work on high-throughput services with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and fault-tolerance.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and monitoring of live services.
- Collaborate with DevOps to enhance CI/CD pipelines, observability, and automation.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
- Mentor peers, contribute to engineering culture, and share knowledge across teams.
- Engage in Agile practices - 14-day sprints, standups, and cross-functional teamwork.
Requirements
- 5+ years in backend engineering with strong expertise in C# and .NET Core.
- Proven track record of designing and building RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Solid understanding of microservices, DDD, and event-driven systems.
- Experience working with high-throughput, distributed systems.
- CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability (GitHub Actions, Datadog, Prometheus, Sentry, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
- Ability to quickly grasp new domains and design solutions that create measurable impact.
- Capable of explaining complex technical concepts and guiding teams through the adoption of new technologies.
- Fluent English; Czech is a plus.
