About the role
- Act as the hands‑on technical lead and subject‑matter expert for Bloomreach Engagement.
- Design, build, and maintain:
- - Event tracking schemas and behavioural data models
- - Real‑time segmentation, audiences, and personalisation logic
- - API‑driven integrations with CMS, commerce, and data platforms
- Implement best‑practice approaches for:
- - Identity resolution
- - Consent‑ and privacy‑aware data capture
- - Performance, scalability, and reliability
- Design and implement integrations between Bloomreach and commerce platforms (Shopify / Drupal)
- Define and build:
- - API between CMS, commerce, and engagement layers
- - Server‑side vs client‑side personalisation patterns
- - Reusable integration and front‑end components for global and local markets
- Work closely with front‑end engineers using modern frameworks (e.g. React, Next.js) to ensure clean, performant implementations
- Ensure hands‑on implementation of clean, consistent data flows across:
- - Web analytics platforms (e.g. GA4, Adobe Analytics)
- - Event pipelines feeding Bloomreach and downstream data platforms
- Set and evolve engineering standards, patterns, and guardrails across markets
- Remain accountable for technical quality, whether delivery is direct or via partners
- Review, challenge, and improve architecture and code delivered by agencies
- Mentor engineers and raise overall engineering maturity through hands‑on guidance
- Translate product, marketing, and commercial requirements into robust, buildable technical solutions
Requirements
- Strong hands‑on engineering capability within MarTech / Digital Experience platforms
- Deep understanding of event‑based tracking, identity, and personalisation
- API design and integration skills within headless architectures
- Ability to balance speed, scalability, security, and privacy
- Strong problem‑solving and technical decision‑making skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders
- Must‑have:
- Strong hands‑on experience delivering solutions using Bloomreach Engagement.
- Experience designing and delivering API‑first, headless architectures
- Experience integrating SaaS platforms across a MarTech / DXP ecosystem
- Proven ability to operate as a senior technical leader while remaining hands‑on in delivery
- Nice‑to‑have
- Experience with Shopify and Drupal, particularly headless or custom storefront builds
- Familiarity with modern front‑end frameworks (React, Next.js, etc.)
- Experience implementing web analytics solutions (GA4, Adobe, tag management)
- Exposure to CDPs, DAMs, PIMs, or other enterprise MarTech platforms
- Experience working in global, multi‑market environments
