About the role
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including master services agreements, order forms, BAAs, vendor contracts, NDAs, and data processing agreements
- Manage the contract lifecycle from intake through execution, working cross-functionally with sales, partnerships, finance, and product teams
- Build and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and self-serve resources that help the business move faster with less legal friction
- Support vendor management, including negotiating favorable termination provisions and payment terms
- Identify and flag regulatory and compliance considerations embedded in commercial terms, including HIPAA, state privacy laws, and telehealth requirements
- Track contract obligations, renewal dates, and key commercial terms across the portfolio
- Assist with corporate and regulatory projects as the team's needs evolve
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- 2-5 years of experience in commercial contracting, either in-house or at a law firm
- Healthcare industry experience, whether in digital health, health tech, health insurance, provider services, or a related field
- Familiarity with HIPAA, BAAs, and the regulatory dynamics of healthcare B2B transactions
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills with a practical, business-oriented approach
- Ability to manage a high volume of contracts independently while knowing when to escalate
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment where you'll wear multiple hats
- Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and a bias toward getting deals done
