About the role

  • The Vice President of finance is responsible for working on a variety of accounting and financial projects, but the primary focus will be the daily Operations of the Accounting Department.
  • Daily oversight of General Ledger Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis and Accounts Payable departments.
  • Manage individuals including but not limited to, hiring, training, performance evaluation and professional development of five (5) direct reports.
  • Preparation, timely completion and analysis of monthly financial statements with accompanying reports.
  • Coordinate the process for financial control of operations, including expense budgets, income forecasting, performance reports and analysis.
  • Oversees the direction and strategy for the department, including driving continuous improvement at all levels.
  • Establishes and continuously reviews financial policies and procedures and internal controls over financial reports.
  • Represents the Finance department on Senior Management committee.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required
  • Five years of accounting management experience, required
  • Senior Living & Skilled Nursing accounting experience, preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, high proficiency in Excel is a must
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent work history; and
  • Commitment to team-oriented outcomes.
