About the role

  • Reports to Senior HR Manager and manages 2-3 direct reports (HR Generalists)
  • Manage and provide guidance to HR Generalists, including coaching, one-on-ones, and performance management
  • Oversee recruitment efforts: job posting, interviewing, and onboarding; collaborate with department leaders to build talent pipelines
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local HR regulations; update and communicate company policies
  • Act as point of contact for employee concerns; resolve conflicts and drive engagement
  • Design and deliver training programs including leadership development, compliance training, and skills enhancement
  • Lead performance management: goal-setting, feedback sessions, and performance reviews
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop HR strategies that support business goals
  • Provide regular HR metrics and reporting (turnover rates, engagement levels, etc.)
  • Implement and enforce consistency in employee standards, policies, procedures, and programs
  • Assist in all other functional areas of human resources as needed and directed by management
  • Spend 30% to 40% of time in manufacturing environments with exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, and temperature variations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or equivalent
  • 5 to 7 years of progressive and relevant Human Resources experience (minimum 5 years)
  • Previous Human Resources experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Proficient with, or ability to quickly learn, HR software such as ADP Workforcenow and Jobvite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees
  • Strong Microsoft suite experience
  • Ability to sit for periods of time
  • Ability to walk around an industrial environment with exposure to various manufacturing elements
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
