About the role
- Join one of our modeling team to build simulated cell models and its tooling
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams of computational biologists and ML engineers
- Tackle hard, unsolved machine learning problems infused with biology
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in software engineering, including writing production code
- solid coding skills in Python with experience in processing large datasets (e.g. pandas, polars, Spark, SQL, TensorFlow/PyTorch)
- fast learner, interested in the domain, and an ability to catch the essence of a complex system or a process
- able to solve abstract problems without an imperative specification
- an iterative mindset in the development, with good estimation skills
- eager to proactively contribute to the planning of our roadmap; you'll have an impact on defining our next step
- fluent in English, both spoken and written; great collaboration skills in an agile environment
- fundamental ML knowledge - statistical modeling basics, train/test split, bias/variance tradeoff, model evaluation metrics (Nice to have)
- hands-on experience with biological dataset processing for analysis and ingress of various training data sources (in vitro, in vivo, PDX, patient) (Nice to have)
- 5+ years of experience in the field (Nice to have)
