About the role

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability
  • Ensure all solutions align with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and implement and Manage AWS Security Best Practices
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and create solutions that align with business goals
  • Optimize cloud resources to enhance performance, reduce costs, and ensure efficient use of AWS services
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments to resolve performance, security, or operational issues
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards
  • Support cloud migration projects by assessing on-premises environments and developing migration strategies to AWS
  • Provide technical support and guidance to development teams, ensuring proper use of AWS services and best practices
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, recommending and implementing changes to reduce operational expenses while maintaining system performance
  • Document and update system configurations, procedures, and best practices
  • Remain current on system updates, capabilities, enhancements, and best practices to continuously improve the performance, security, and scalability of the system infrastructure
  • Participate in on-call rotations or provide after-hours support as needed to ensure 24/7 uptime of mission-critical cloud services
  • Provide training and technical guidance to internal teams on AWS services, architecture, and best practices

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent
  • Five (5) years of experience in a cloud engineering position
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or obtain within 6 months from hire date
  • Associate degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • AWS Certified Security (preferred)
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate (preferred)
